my core skills are coldfusion and mysql. in my opinion, it is the best combinationfor building fast, functional and good-looking websites - quickly.

i have an academic background in computer programming (gcse, a-level and degree), but my web development skills are all self taught.

my first web based application was an intranet system for bentley motors in crewe, built during my placement year. it was built using asp and a microsoft access database.

during my first year working at executivesontheweb.com i learned coldfusion, and subsequently re-built the entire website using coldfusion and sql server.

since joining net syndicate, i have focused on developing web applications using coldfusion and mysql.

more recently, i have started to develop using asp.net 2.0 and have gained a working knowledge of php.

i primarily use dreamweaver for coding, although i do use visual web developer when working in asp.net. other software packages i have experience with include fireworks, photoshop and various database management applications.

my skill set also includes server, desktop and network management and administration, focusing primarily on microsoft technologies.
